About Donald Evenson

“In my paintings, I try to capture the peaceful tranquility, solitude and beauty, the diverse formations and the colors focused primarily on the landscapes of the Southwest. While most of my larger canvases are painted in the studio, they all begin as outdoor studies en plain air, on location where the subtleties of the rapidly changing light and color conditions are an inspiration that enable me to best capture the place and moment.”
